My name is Mireya Gomez. I work as a Women’s and Youth Counselor and City Commissioner in Watsonville, California.
Our city is in need of new leadership and our local government must be more responsive to the needs of seniors and families.
I am a Watsonville native, and graduated from local public schools and the University of California. I have volunteered with many charitable and religious organizations and serve as a commissioner on the Watsonville Parks and Recreation Commission.
I have great hopes for our city and with your support, I will work hard to make Watsonville a better place to live.

I would describe Mireya Gomez as a dedicated and motivating force within her community. Mireya is passionate about community organization and for the rights of underrepresented people. She is not just a leader for her community in general to look up to; rather, she is most notably a devoted mentor for young leaders to follow after. I think Mireya’s commitment to change coupled with her professional demeanor, will make her a valuable addition to the Watsonville City Council. Good luck Mireya and all my best wishes and blessings for your victory!
